Missing and damaged teeth may make you self-conscious about your smile. Consider cosmetic teeth to regain your confidence.

What Are Dentures?

Your appearance is different without your teeth, and sometimes damaged teeth look worse. It’s also harder to eat and talk when you don’t have teeth. Denture implants are dental appliances that your dentist customizes according to your jaw structure and dental needs. Removable and permanent options are available to fix your appearance and help you chew and speak better. The appliance also supports the structure of your mouth and jaw. They’re the ideal investment for your dental health and can last for several years when you take care of them properly.

What Kinds of Artificial Teeth Can I Get?

There are four main types of dentures. Our dentists will evaluate your mouth and help you choose the best type to restore your smile.

Partial and Full Denture Implants

A partial denture only replaces the teeth that are missing from your mouth. This allows you to keep your remaining natural teeth and skip the extraction and healing process. Its structure is similar to a bridge, but it has clasps that slide over your other teeth. You wear it during the day and remove it at night to clean it.

Complete or full dentures replace all of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Our dentists extract any of the remaining teeth that you have and provide a temporary appliance until your gums heal. Next, you’ll return to us for a fitting for your permanent, fixed or removable appliance. The fixed denture requires us to anchor it with dental implants.

Flexible Partial Artificial Teeth

Unlike the rigid base and metal clasps of traditional partial dentures, flexible partial cosmetic teeth have a flexible base and clasps. The lightweight materials that they’re made of bend with your mouth so that you’re more comfortable when you wear them. They also have a gum-colored base that looks more like your natural gums so that others see only your smile.

Implant-Supported Cosmetic Teeth

Basic dentures rest on your gums, but some people need extra support on the lower jaws for the appliances. If this is the case with you, our dentists will use an implant-supported denture. This means that we’ll use two to four dental implants for additional stability. Most people don’t need the extra stability on the upper jaw. An implant-supported denture isn’t fixed, so you still have to take it out every night for cleaning.

What Are All-on-Four Implants?

All-on-Four dentures are a dental appliance that gives you a complete set of artificial teeth and the stability of fixed dentures. They get their name because they’re attached to four implants on your bottom jaw.

Do I Need a Soft Reline?

A soft denture reline uses a soft material that remains flexible for as long as two years. It can reduce the pain and sores that the acrylic lining on traditional dentures typically cause.

How Does Getting Artificial Teeth Work?

The procedure for getting new dentures requires multiple steps. These depend on the denture type that you want and whether you need procedures such as implant placement and tooth extraction. After those procedures, our dentists will make a mold and take measurements of your mouth. They’ll also make adjustments after the denture is ready to make sure that it replicates your bite and is comfortable.

What Is the Cost of Cosmetic Teeth?

The expense for getting dentures depends on the type, the necessary preparation steps and the materials required. Our dentists can guide you in choosing affordable quality dentures for your needs. Schedule a consultation today to learn more about how much dentures cost for you.
